The napa cabbage is a traditional symbol of luck and fortune in Chinese culture. Because it's name, bai cai, is homophonous with the Chinese words for "hundred" and "wealth", it is believed to bring prosperity and fortune to those that possess it.
This statue features a beautiful green and white napa cabbage laying on an ornate base with a yellow money toad (also a symbol of wealth and prosperity) sitting underneath. A traditional Chinese knot with coins and tassel hangs on the end. The inscription on the base reads: Bǎi cái yíngmen ("Door to unlimited wealth and surplus"). Set this in your home or business to welcome good luck and prosperity!
